Name: Professor Zoom, Reverse-Flash, Eobard Thawne Instead, he does everything in his power to torment and torture the hero, an ominous visitor from a future the Flash never could’ve envisioned. However, he is unable to ever kill the Flash-for he would not exist if he killed his own inspiration. His ability to travel through time allows him to attack the Flash at almost any point throughout history. Granted with powers and abilities similar to that of the Flash, Professor Zoom is unwavering in his determination to oppose and destroy all that’s important to the Flash. When he eventually replicated the chemical accident that granted the Flash super speed, Eobard took on a new identity-that of Professor Zoom aka Reverse-Flash, a wicked subversion of everything the Flash stands for. However, as he learned more about the Flash, Eobard discovered how his own life was linked to his hero’s: He was destined to become one of Barry Allen’s greatest villains, a revelation that led Eobard to grow unhinged. He was born in the 25th Century and grew up idolizing the Flash and studying the legacy of the Scarlet Speedster. Overall, WOW.Eobard Thawne, commonly known as Reverse-Flash, is one of the main antagonists of the Flash in DC Comics. Cisco's scenes were fun, and while I was confused at why was he and Caitlin talking so closely to Wells, his scenes with Wells were great.

Barry also had some great complex character moments and I like his dynamic with Patty. I was worried that the Wells arc will be the same as in Season 1, but nope, they did a great job with that character too. It showed how scary Zoom is and the contrast between him and the Flash wonderfully. This episode did a great job with character arcs. When the crazy stuff happened, though, it was done well, not like in episode 4, where the man-shark felt out of place. It was full of hilarious moments which reminded me of the previous episode, so I was slowly starting to suspect that Zoom won't appear. You can feel the tension before the big battle, and the thirty minutes before the awaited moment are great as well. Don't get me wrong, that trope is only good if it's done right. However, in the last ten minutes, things get absolutely crazy and everyone is like 'WTF'.

People think it's gonna be about the thing they waited for, and then that thing just doesn't come. This episode does one of my favorite tropes ever.
